About Raptor Lures NT

Growing up on the Darling Downs in QLD, Peter begun fishing from an early age, fishing for Golden Perch in the creeks on his family farm. This lead to further escapades fishing inland rivers and costal areas in the Hervey Bay region. During these early times in QLD, Peter primarily fished for Murray Cod and Golden Perch with the occasional Barramundi caught. Ever since his first Barramundi, Peter was hooked and in 1997 his dream of living in the Top End became reality when he moved to Darwin with his family. After settling in Darwin, Peter's passion for catching Barramundi, among other species grew.

Peter's desire to create his own timber lures sparked in 2010 after a fishing trip to the Daly River. He decided to create something different from the usual run of the mill Barra lures in everyone's tackle box. The first lure created was a 7 inch, shallow running timber prototype which worked particularly well trolling the trash lines in the Daly River. Due to the success of his first timber lure, Peter was inspired to create a range of lures from surface to deep diving lures.
